Sweetened with a hint of marzipan, peppermint, and malt. A drizzle of dark chocolate over toasted almonds, hazelnuts, and malty shortbread, with a palate-stirring combination of nutmeg, leather, and cedar. A crisp, dry finish is followed by flavors of rich, aged leather spice and dark chocolate.
Concerning Woodford reserve double oaked
The Woodford Reserve Distillery is situated on the site of an earlier distillery that was established in the 1800s by Elijah and Oscar Pepper, their son. Years later, their distillery underwent a transformation and modernization while producing whiskey in the United States, revolutionizing the ideas of sour mash and yeast propagation under the direction of Oscar and Master Distiller James Crow.
Currently, it is one of the smallest and oldest bourbon distilleries in Kentucky. Tucked away in the center of the Commonwealth’s thoroughbred region, it’s the only location where you can find mature horses and bourbon together. It is also one of the few alcohol firms in the world with a cooperage where its barrels are crafted, meaning that precise toast and char standards can be achieved.
