Willett Pot Still Reserve, aged for eight to ten years, won the Double Gold Medal for design and the Gold Medal for flavor at the 2008 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Its distinctive form and style are intended to mimic the pot still that the Willett Distilling Company utilized for many decades. During Reconstruction, John David Willlett started distilling at the Moore, Willett & Frenke Distillery, which is located just outside of Louisville, Kentucky. A. Lambert eventually bought a farm outside of Bardstown, Kentucky, and in the spring of 1935 he started building the Willett Distilling Company.
