Peerless Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has flavors of herbaceous mint, peanut butter, caramel, vanilla, and red chili earthiness that truly stand out on the nose. The flavors of dried fruit, cherries, orange peel, clove, cardamom, and black pepper are all present on the inviting palate, which ends with a robust and clean finish.

Concerning Peerless

The Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. was founded in the center of Henderson, Kentucky, in the 1880s. Henry Kraver, a businessman with a daring attitude, founded Peerless Whiskey and brought the company back from the verge of bankruptcy in the late 1880s. emerged from the ashes under Kraver’s leadership, resulting in a 25-fold increase in output. However, the extremely harsh period of Prohibition later slowed the brand’s expansion.

One hundred years later, Kraver’s great-grandsons Corky Taylor and Carson Taylor are the owners of Peerless Whiskey. The two have revived the brand in an effort to carry on Kraver’s history. They even distill under the original Distilled Spirits Plant number, DSP-KY-50, in a historic warehouse in downtown Louisville, next to the Ohio River. The Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. introduced its first bourbon two years after launching its signature 2-year-old initial straight rye.
