Old grand-dad whiskey is more than just a catchy moniker—he was a real person by the name of Basil Hayden who became well-known throughout the 1800s for producing bourbon with a higher rye content. Old Grand-Dad is prominently featured in classic American songs like “I Drink Alone” by George Thorogood and preferred by James Bond is his old-fashioned cocktails. R.B.
