Old Bardstown 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

The Willett Distillery was established in 1936 and is a privately held company with a long history of manufacturing high-quality whiskey. In 2016, the Old Bardstown bourbon for sale  90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon and the Bottled in Bond Bourbon were introduced. At the Willett distillery, a mash bill consisting of 72% corn, 13% rye, and 15% malted barley is used to create the whiskey. After then, the whiskey is bottled at 90 proof after spending at least 4 years in brand-new, charred American oak barrels. The whiskey has a traditional bourbon flavor profile, with overtones of floral notes, caramel, oak, and vanilla. The labels are copies of the original ones from the Thompson Willett era of presidential administration .

Notes on Tasting

With notes of caramel, vanilla, orange zest, and flowers, the nose is sweet and oaky. The taste, which is delicate and slightly sweet with lots of caramel, oak, vanilla, and a hint of chocolate, reflects the notes. Medium-length notes of vanilla, caramel, spice, and wood persist throughout the finish.

Concerning Old Bardstown Bourbon

Old Bardstown Bourbon was an American Thoroughbred racehorse named after the Kentucky city of Bardstown, who was born in 1952. The horse, which was bred and raced by Calumet Farms, won the Widener Handicap at the Hialeah Park Race Track and Florida’s Tropical Handicap twice at the Tropical Park Race Track. Bardstown had 18 first place finishes, 7 second place finishes, and 1 third place finish in 31 career starts. Old Bardstown was one of the best race horses of his day when he retired at the age of eight  .
