Limited Edition Jack Daniel Distillery Sinatra Select Frank Sinatra and his connection to the distillery are honored in Tennessee Whiskey. Jeff Arnett, master distiller of Jack Daniel Distillery, states that “Frank drew in a crowd by beginning his performances with a toast of Jack.” “To celebrate that enduring, intimate connection, his family and ours at Jack Daniel Distillery have partnered to create Sinatra Select. We are incredibly honored to honor our renowned friend.
Rye, malted barley, and corn are mashed to create the whiskey. A special strain of yeast and iron-free cave spring water are used to ferment the components after they have been mashed. After fermentation, the wash is distilled, and ten feet of charcoal are used to filter the final whiskey. The whiskey is referred to as “Tennessee Whiskey” because of this filtering method, called the Lincoln County Process, which also gives it a distinctively sweet and smoky flavor character.
The whiskey is matured in Sinatra Barrels, which have distinctive, deep grooves on the inside of the barrel staves, after it has been charcoal filtered. These grooves expand the barrels’ surface area, which increases the whiskey’s exposure to the wood. After maturation, whiskey aged in regular Jack Daniel Distillery barrels is wedded to whiskey aged in Sinatra barrels.
This maturation procedure gives Jack Daniel Distillery Sinatra Select Tennessee Whiskey a deep amber color and a scent of wood, vanilla, toffee, and sweet caramel. It is much chewier than the classic Jack Daniel Distillery Tennessee Whiskey, and its scent gives way to aromas of leather, candied oranges, and woody spices on the palate. The finish is very long and refined, with hints of chocolate and tobacco mixed with spice and clove flavors.
Given that orange was Sinatra’s favorite color, the distinctive 1-liter bottle of Jack Daniel Distillery Sinatra Select Limited Edition Tennessee Whiskey comes in an orange-accented case. According to Arnett, “this really honors what he meant to the brand,”

Concerning American Whiskey
Bourbon and rye are the two primary members of the American whiskey family, however there are other spirits that do not fit into those two highly regulated groups.
Tennessee whiskey, which is basically bourbon filtered through maple charcoal and matured in brand-new charred oak barrels, is another highly controlled American single malt that is created from 100% malted barley.
Next is moonshine, a high-proof (150–170 proof) distilled alcohol that was mostly created from corn and became well-known during the Prohibition era.
