Under the scorching Kentucky sun, Eagle Rare 10 YR Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon was aged for a minimum of ten years in brand-new American oak barrels. The bourbon has a golden honey hue and a scent of bananas, new tobacco, and mild toast from its ten-year beauty rest. The palate picks up aromas of chocolate, almonds, melons, raisins, and dried fruits, all of which are accentuated by a faint undertone of vanilla. With notes of toasted nuts and corn, the finish is strong and lengthy.
Robert Parker awarded Eagle Rare 95 points, while Wine Enthusiast gave it 96 points. Furthermore, the 2013 International Wine and Spirits Competition awarded the bourbon the Gold Medal and named it the “Best Bourbon.”
