About Wyoming Whiskey Outryder

Although it’s not quite a real rye whiskey, Wyoming Whiskey Outryder is a distinctive straight American whiskey with a greater rye percentage. Made with two distinct mash bills, it was distilled in November 2011. A classic bourbon mash bill consisting of 68% corn, 20% winter rye, and 12% malted barley is reflected in the second mash bill, whereas the first has 48% winter rye, 40% corn, and 12% malted barley.
Rageth Farms grows these non-GMO grains near Byron, Wyoming. When bottled together, the flavors of freshly ground grain, lemon cake, and ginger snap snap arouse the senses. A bottle containing the finest rye and bourbon. In 2016, Wine Enthusiast gave Wyoming Whiskey Outryder 90 points and a Highly Recommended rating, while Whisky Cast gave it 93 points. Tasting Notes
Nose notes of baking spices, chocolate, and black tea. Fresh ginger snap notes counterbalance lemon cake, vanilla, and freshly milled grain flavors on the palate. There’s also plenty of rye spice, freshly baked dark rye bread with mint undertones, and baking spice with creamy butterscotch pudding. Long and spicy, with notes of buttery toffee and almonds, is the finish.

About Wyoming Whiskey
In Kirby, Wyoming, a small hamlet with 92 residents, Brad Mead is a fifth-generation rancher whose family arrived in the state for the first time in 1890. He is carrying on the family heritage of “firsts.” Although his family has produced two governors of Wyoming, lawyers, extreme skiers, and U.S. senators, Brad, his wife Kathy, and their son Sam founded the state’s first legal distillery in 2009 and have been producing excellent, handcrafted whisky ever since.

About American Whiskey
Bourbon and rye are the two primary members of the American-whiskey family, however there are other spirits that don’t fit into those two tightly defined categories.
Tennessee whiskey, which is essentially bourbon that has been matured in fresh charred oak barrels after being filtered through maple charcoal, is another highly controlled American single malt. It is manufactured entirely of malted barley.

Then there is moonshine, a popular high-proof (150–170 proof) distilled liquor produced primarily from corn that became well-known during the Prohibition era.
