About Willett pot still reserve
Craft whiskey distillation is a familial legacy for the Willett family. During Reconstruction, John David Willlett started making whiskey at the Moore, Willett & Frenke Distillery, which is located close to Louisville, Kentucky. A. Lambert Willett, his 15-year-old son, started working as his father’s apprentice in 1898. In the end, Lambert bought a farm outside of Bardstown, Kentucky, and in the spring of 1935 he started building the Willett Distilling Company. The family legacy endures despite the Willett Distilling Company’s eventual rebranding to Kentucky Bourbon Distillers. KBD’s owner, Kulsveen, is even Willett’s son-in-law.
