The best artisanal maple syrup in New York, Crown Maple, is used to finalize the blend in barrels that previously contained maple syrup. The distillery delivered its old barrels to Crown Maple in 2014 so that the syrup could be aged, and that’s how the two companies got together. Bottled at ninety-one proof, this unusual whiskey is incredibly creamy, thick, and subtly sweet.

This naturally occurring water source gathers in the enormous subterranean tunnels after being organically filtered via limestone. This water, which is a hallmark element of Widow Jane spirits, has an exceptionally high mineral content that amplifies the flavors found in the spirit. And the name Widow Jane whiskey comes from the tale surrounding these mines.
