Smoke Wagon Bourbon, In 2018, screenwriter Jonathan Hensleight met Aaron Chepenik in Los Angeles and together they opened The Griffin. After a few years of sampling their inventory, they started talking about what they liked and didn’t like about the vodkas and bourbons they were selling, which eventually led to the opening of the first distillery in the city of Las Vegas: Nevada H & C Distilling Co. Smoke Wagon Fourth of July 2023, a straight bourbon that they created in honor of Independence Day.

The best ingredients were used to create this limited edition bourbon at the Smoke Wagon Distillery in Nevada. It was aged in charred oak casks after being distilled using traditional processes, giving it a robust, rich, and harmonious flavor profile that is finest served plain but can also be a delectable base for traditional cocktails that are sure to spice up the celebrations.

The robust bourbon begins with notes of caramel and toasted wood, which are reflected on the palate. Look for notes of dark fruit and extra spice that culminate in a silky finish.

About Smoke Wagon

The tale of Nevada H & C Distilling Co. started in 2004 when co-founder Aaron Chepenik and screenwriter Jonathan Hensleigh met in an Eagle Rock, California, pub. They soon discovered that they shared the same idea for starting a pub called The Gryphon. They started talking about what they liked and didn’t like about the vodkas and bourbons they were selling after a few years of sampling their stock.

They opened the first distillery in the city of Las Vegas when the notion of making their own spirits came to them one night. Since there had never been a license for them specifically, the City Council had to develop one. Equipment was gathered and set up over the course of six years, with several obstacles encountered. The good news is that they had a number of high-rye bourbons ready when they launched, so they could start producing straight away.

They currently have two brands: Silver Dollar and Smoke Wagon, both of which have won multiple medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
