The State of Tennessee changed its regulations in 2009, permitting the production of moonshine for the first time in more than a century. Joe Baker co-founded Ole Smoky in Tennessee, and since then, the company has produced hundreds of whiskies and a wide variety of 27 flavored moonshines.

The Ole Smoky family, who claim to be Appalachian by birth, was one of the first to enter the Smoky Mountains. They use age-old whiskey-making techniques to create their whiskeys. Baker quickly began creating a unique, mountain-made moonshine once Tennessee’s state legislation changed to allow for the distillation of spirits. This made Ole Smoky the first distillery in East Tennessee history to receive a federal license.

White Lightning, Moonshine Cherries, Blackberries, their world-famous “Apple Pie,” Strawberry, Peach, Lemon Drop, and their Original Unaged Corn Whiskey are all part of their lineup. They also provide unique and seasonal flavors.
