Just as John Jameson did centuries ago, Jameson Irish Whiskey is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley that is triple-distilled using three different copper-pot stills: a wash still, a feint still, and a spirit still. The whiskey’s distinct character is further enhanced by the mash, which is prepared from barley, maize, and clean Irish water.
A unique blend of three whiskies, Jameson 18 Year Old Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey has been matured for at least 18 years in carefully chosen American bourbon and European oak casks at Jameson’s warehouse in Midleton. The whiskey’s aroma opens with spicy oak and toffee from its 18-year beauty rest. On the palate, it has additional toffee and fudge notes along with faint sherry undertones. The whiskey is completed in first-fill bourbon barrels just prior to bottling, resulting in a silky, vanilla finish enhanced by earlier toffee and caramel aromas wood spice and toffee.

Concerning Jameson bow street 18
“Jameson” is one of the most recognizable names in the Irish whiskey industry. John Jameson was born in 1740 into a family whose motto, “Sine Metu” (meaning “Without Fear”), was acquired by the family’s valor in battling pirates on the high seas in the 1500s. This is where the Jameson tradition began.
John jameson whiskey 18 year was a living example of Sine Metu, and the courage of his forebears gave him the audacity to establish his own distillery in the late 18th century and to create the triple-distilling method of whiskey, which is currently the industry standard in Ireland. For someone born in the 18th century, John Jameson lived to be 83 years old. His descendants, John II, John III, and John IV, all carried on his tradition by running the distillery far into the 20th century.
