Corn Trooper United Craft Bourbon

The ultimate American spirit is Bourbon. The Flaviar team had a long-standing ambition to produce a distinctively American bourbon. They set out to celebrate them with a whiskey that would bring together a number of craft distilleries from across the nation, rather than competing with the many craft bourbon brands that are now available. Corn Trooper, a blend of seven consecutive bourbons from seven distinct states—Colorado, Texas, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, South Carolina, and Washington—was the result of three years of trial and error and formula tinkering.

The whiskeys from OOLA, Breckenridge, Balcones, Highwire, Hartfield & Co., New Holland Brewing, and Kings County were ultimately chosen by Flaviar co-founder and Master Blender Grisa Soba. Corn Trooper, bottled at 101 proof, is a veritable celebration of solidarity; even its name was chosen from 10,000 choices made by Flaviar members.

Notes on Tasting

With notes of banana, green olives, vanilla, and maple syrup, the nose is strong and oaky. On the taste, look for orange zest, dark fruit, apple, ginger, and baking spices. It has a lengthy, peppery, and somewhat warming finish.
