The Single Rack Black premium bourbon line includes Calumet Farm Bourbon 16 Year Old Bourbon Whiskey. Citation, one of the most renowned thoroughbreds in racing history, is honored in this magnificent bourbon. Every taste of this bourbon reflects the fervent patience required to produce a great champion, as well as the passion and determination that propelled Citation to triumph.

This 16-year-old bourbon, which is non-chill filtered to enhance its color and character, is aged in Bardstown, Kentucky, the center of whiskey country. A deep mahogany hue with dark crimson shadows and golden highlights is produced by the mash bill, which is composed of 74% corn, 18% rye, and 8% malted barley.

The aromas of cherries, dark fruits, and baking spices come through in a well-balanced combination with undertones of toasty rye spice and rich wood. Freshly baked bread, roasted toffee, and a hint of cornmeal dryness round off the end.

Concerning Calumet Farm Bourbon

William Monroe Wright, the Calumet Baking Powder Company’s owner and a prosperous businessman, founded a farm in Lexington, Kentucky’s undulating hills in 1924. Wright’s farm produced horses that would go on to win two triple crowns and eight Kentucky derbies.

Wright’s stunning land and his legacy of producing winners are honored in Calumet land Bourbon Whiskey. A classic blend of corn, rye, and malted barley is used to make bourbon. It is then distilled and matured in virgin American oak barrels. This results in a bourbon that smells of caramel, baking spices, and oak, which is followed by flavors of butterscotch, vanilla, toffee, and brown sugar. With notes of nutmeg and chili peppers, the aftertaste is hearty and comforting.
