Bulleit 12 Year Old Straight American Rye Whiskey
95% rye grains and 5% malted barley are mashed to create this Bulleit 12 year rye Whiskey. The grains are fermented using a special strain of family yeast and then distilled using a copper still, just like the bourbon. The rye is aged for 12 years after distillation. A combination of smoothness and spice will follow flavors of pear-like fruit, dry, buttery Oakiness, and subtle spice.

Tasting Notes

Concerning Bulleit rye
In the late 1980s, Tom Bulleit decided to create his own Rye Bulleit Bourbon after acquiring the family recipe.
