About Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (1L)
The flagship bourbon of the distillery has been produced for more than 200 years utilizing the same method. A mash of yellow #2 dent corn, plump rye grains, and malted barley is used to make Buffalo Trace-Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The mixture is cooked, cooled, and then fermented for around three to five days.
Following completion of fermentation, the bourbon is double-distilled using column stills and then matured in first-fill American oak barrels (of which 90% come from the Ozark Mountains) that have been extensively charred for six months in the trace distillery buffalo yard.
No more than 40 barrels are hand-selected at a time to produce a single, small batch of Buffalo Trace-Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey after the barrels have been aged for at least eight years. The barrels are kept on the middle floors of the distillery’s warehouses to allow for the biggest temperature fluctuations. kentucky straight bourbon whiskey buffalo

Tasting Notes
Rich amber hue with a scent of molasses, caramel, vanilla, and mint. On the palate, there are sweet aromas of toffee and brown sugar that transition into oak, black fruits, baking spices, and anise. Reminiscent of vanilla, wood, and rock candy, the finish is smooth and multifaceted.
