Situated on a 100-acre farmland that is a part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, this distillery—one of the most technologically advanced in the country—offers a comprehensive experience that includes tours and a full restaurant in the shape of the Bottle & Bond Kitchen and Bar. With over 40 years of experience in the spirits industry, Master Distiller Steve Nally leads the distillery’s team that creates nearly 40 different mash bills for some of the best whiskeys available, such as Jefferson’s, High West, Belle Meade, Calumet, James E. Pepper, and Cyrus Noble.
Their Collaborative series, which includes special whiskeys like the Founders KBS Stout Finish, showcases creative partnerships. The mash bill for this Tennessee straight bourbon was composed of 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malted barley. The ten-year-old bourbon had a 15-month maturing period in strong barrels. Founder’s Brewing Co. is the source of these barrels of Kentucky Breakfast Stout, or Founder’s KBS. At 110 percent, the deep and flavorful bourbon is bottled.
