This batch is named after my family’s house, which is a truly unique location that holds many beginnings, customs, and memories for everyone at Beam, not just for me.
Notes on Tasting
Deep Amber in color
Taste: Distinct
Aroma: Dried Fruits, Vanilla
Finish: Sweet, spicy, warm, and pleasant
Before moving in after Dad went away, I spent years living next door and growing up just around the corner. As the name implies, “The Beam House” has been a part of my family for many years. My dad, Booker Noe, and my great-grandfather, Jim Beam, all lived there before me. In our family, it’s just the way things are. We’ve always spent a lot of time together, whether it’s for Booker’s tastings, Sunday dinners, or sipping bourbon on the porch.
I used to bring samples of the plant across the yard when I lived next door so that Dad and anyone else who happened to be present might get together at the kitchen table and try them while enjoying some barbecue.
Booker always wanted to get people into the house and loved entertaining. God knows how many people have visited throughout the years, including coworkers, friends, neighbors, and business associates. You’re all welcome. It’s a tradition I’m pleased to continue, and Dad loved it when folks would stop by and come out back for a drink. For your enjoyment, I’ve attempted to include a few of the happy memories I made at the Beam House in this batch.
NOTES FROM A MASTER DISTILLER
The Buy Booker’s Bourbon The Beam House Batch 2024-02 is rich and deep amber in color, beckoning you to inhale deeply and breath in the aroma. With overtones of vanilla and some dried fruits, the aroma is delightful and invites you to taste.
The pleasant flavor that filled my tongue as I tasted this batch brought back memories of sitting on the veranda of the Beam residence. The aroma and flavor are inviting, and the oak barrel aging results in a long, pleasingly sweeter finish. I’m sure you’ll love this collection of bookers, which are named after the homes of several Beam family members and where I currently call home.
The five production dates that make up the batch are kept in four separate warehouse sites. When the barrels are dumped, the batch will be 7 years, 2 months, and 22 days old. 124.6 proof will be the batch’s proof. The Booker’s “Beam House Batch” barrel storage breakdown is as follows:
The fifth floor of the seven-story warehouse Z accounted for 14%.
The fourth floor of the seven-story warehouse 3 accounted for 28%.
The fourth floor of the seven-story warehouse 3 accounted for 14%.
