The Boston Batch, the second release, honors the start of Booker Noe’s distilling career at the production location where it all started: Boston, Kentucky. Booker was able to develop into the master distiller he would become by experimenting with his skill in the secondary distillery. The expression is made up of barrels from three distinct production dates that are kept in four rickhouses at six separate sites. It is the nutty, robust, and deep bourbon that everyone anticipates from this legendary distillery, and it is bottled at 126.5 proof.

Bookers Bourbons Notes on Tasting

There are lots of baking spices, toasted almonds, and vanilla in the nose. Accompanying the scents on the taste are notes of vanilla sweetness, wood, and a good pinch of spice. Nuts, vanilla, and wood characterize the warm finish.

Concerning Booker’s

Booker Noe, Jim Beam’s grandson, was eager to become 21—not so he could start drinking, but so he could start distilling. Growing up in the center of Kentucky and being a sixth-generation distiller with Beam blood in his veins made it inevitable. After years of service as a Master Distiller, he retired and began bottling his own bourbon as presents for friends and family.

Along the way, he came up with the term “small batch” when he introduced the first batch of his namesake Booker’s Bourbon to the general public in 1988. Today, Booker’s runs under the Jim Beam distillery and is managed by his son Fred. He asked his son, “Fred, make sure they don’t mess with my Booker’s,” after he retired. bourbon bookers
