Booker’s Backyard BBQ Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Johannes Reginald Beam immigrated to the United States from Germany after the American Revolutionary War ended, and he eventually made Kentucky County his home. During that period, Kentucky County was governed by a military governor by the name of John J. Bowman and was still regarded as a part of Virginia. Beam started collecting corn after moving to Kentucky, and he started a family custom of turning the extra grains he collected into whiskey. Since then, the Beam family has been producing whiskey for the firm of the same name for seven generations (the company is named after James Beam, who saved it during Prohibition).
This raw, uncut, and unfiltered Booker’s Bourbon is a high-octane BBQ-inspired whiskey. Following “Kathleen’s Batch,” this bourbon is the second release and iteration of the year. This “Backyard BBQ” Bourbon, which was inspired by Master Distiller Fred Noe’s fondness of throwing “Bourbon-ques” or cookouts in his backyard, is made up of barrels from six sites and three warehouses that Noe personally picked on a chilly spring day. You may anticipate creamy vanilla notes after sweet, smokey flavors of soft caramel, honey, cinnamon, and maple at around 130 proof.
