Booker’s 30th Anniversary Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Johannes Reginald Beam immigrated to the United States from Germany after the American Revolutionary War ended, and he eventually made Kentucky County his home. John J. Bowman, a military governor, presided over Kentucky County, which was still regarded as a part of Virginia at the time. Beam started collecting corn after moving to Kentucky, and he started a family custom of turning the extra grains he collected into whiskey. Since then, the Beam family has been producing whiskey for the firm of the same name for seven generations (the company is named after James Beam, who saved it during Prohibition).
As his idea of the ideal whiskey, Booker Noe launched the first batch of his eponymous Booker’s Bourbon thirty years ago. His legacy is honored in this bourbon. This 30th Anniversary Limited Edition bourbon is a blend of uncut, unfiltered 9-year (70%) and 16-year (30%) Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys, whereas the majority of Booker’s batches are six to eight years old. The salvaged wood from ancient rackhouse flooring, which Booker and Fred Noe trod on while choosing batches of Booker’s, is used to make each box of Booker’s 30th Anniversary Bourbon.
