Concerning Blanton’s bourbon barrel

Albert Bacon Blanton was born in the winter of 1881 on a farm not far from Frankfort, Kentucky. Blanton started as an office boy at the Old Fire Copper Distillery, also known as O.F.C. Distillery, when he was sixteen years old. Blanton apparently worked in every section of the distillery during the ensuing years. He began working as O.F.C.’s superintendent at the age of 20, and he remained there until his retirement in 1952 single barrel bourbon whiskey blantons.

Blanton’s bourbon whiskey was a classic bourbon aristocrat who was committed to producing Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, much like his master E.H. Taylor.
