Angel’s Envy Cask Strength Bourbon 2019 Release
The best whiskey that angel’s envy whiskey produces is Cask Strength Finished in Port Wine Barrels. They occasionally find what they refer to as a “honey barrel”; these barrels may be one in a hundred, but they have a unique quality. Angel’s Envy combines them in limited batches for their annual Cask Release every autumn when they’ve found the ideal flavor balance. F. Paul Pacult’s 2013 Spirit Journal ranked it as the “Best Spirit in the World.” The flavor profile of each year’s release is completely distinct.

Notes on Tasting
Hints of toast and wood, along with honey, apple, butterscotch, toffee, and mild vanilla. Along with black tea, toasted wood with a hint of char, and subtle floral notes, the nose also has notes of honeyed apple, peach, apricot, and overripe banana. Pleasant tannic aromas that linger into black tea are part of the medium-length aftertaste.
Concerning angel’s envy bourbon whiskey
Lincoln Henderson began working for Brown-Forman as a grain chemist after graduating from college and rose to the position of Master Distiller. He developed new brands like Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Jack Daniel Distillery “Gentleman Jack,” and Jack Daniel Distillery Single Barrel Whiskey while honing his craft during his 40-year career at Brown-Forman. Henderson was in charge of quality control, technical distillery monitoring, and sensory evaluation in addition to developing new products. “I never regretted a day when I had to go to work,” recalls Henderson, a founding member of the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame and recipient of the Malt Advocate’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Henderson made the bold decision to start Angel’s Envy Bourbon after leaving Brown-Forman. “Angel’s Envy is a lot of things,” Henderson remarked. It’s what I do for a living. The smoothness of this whiskey is unmatched. It blends more than 400 years of port wine history with more than 200 years of bourbon history. The phrase “angel’s share” refers to the percentage of whiskey that evaporates when it ages in wooden barrels, and that is where the name originates. Henderson discovered that the angels could prefer a bigger cut after tasting the bourbon. His son, Wes Henderson, is currently in charge of the family business.
